Do you remember a seed planted that took root and grew into your life?

While cleaning up some old files, I found this typewritten poem. I was nineteen in my first year of college. I smile at this typewritten parchment paper with typos and misspellings. There was no spell check and no easy way of editing them. It reminded me of how much I love to write. The seeds of my passion were nurtured within me for a long time.

My feelings about the wind haven’t changed, but I recognize the source of my awe is that this is God’s creation, His inspiration. The leaves are changing as fall sets in. An ideal time for a walk.

Here is a beautiful psalm for meditating while doing so.

Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise him in the heights above.
 Praise him, sun and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars.
 Praise him, you highest heavens
and you waters above the skies.

 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for at his command, they were created,
and he established them forever and ever—
he issued a decree that will never pass away.

 Praise the Lord from the earth,
you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding.

Praise the Lord Psalm 145:1-8
