Daughters of the Wilderness: Five Daughters, One Bold Request, A God Who Listens

Celebrate with me the debut of my biblical-historical novel that brings to life the courageous story of Zelophehad’s daughters from the Book of Numbers.

Their story carried me through my thirty-five-year journey in corporate work. Each time I opened the door to the executive boardroom, I whispered, “The daughters of Zelophehad came forward,” reminding me that I, too, had a place at the table.

My prayer is that this book will inspire you as their story inspired me—to live with courage, faith, and hope, trusting in God’s guidance on the path before you.

More details on launch events, signings, and online celebrations coming soon.

The Network has so much to offer. I’ve been a member for many years, and this will be my last year as President of this incredible organization.

We have an amazing keynote speaker: Dr. Amy McLaughlin-Sheasby

This festival is for churchgoers, lovers of our sacred texts, budding storytellers, experienced storytellers, visitors to the sick, teachers in Christian schools, Sunday school leaders, camp leaders, youth leaders, pastors, and YOU!

Hope you’ll join me for an inspiring 3 days of sharing Bible stories that bring light to their relevance and resonance!

Teaching at reNEW Christian Writers' Retreat

    October 15-18
Wisdom House – 229 E Litchfield Rd, Litchfield, CT 06759

I’m so excited to be teaching at the reNEW retreat this year. This incredible Cloud of Witness community has supported, trained, and encouraged me on my 7-year writing journey. I am so thankful and delighted to help others learn.

    My class is called

How Not to Write a Novel (Lessons Learned the Hard Way)

Writing your first novel can feel overwhelming. This workshop is designed especially for first-time novelists who want to avoid common traps and keep writing with clarity and purpose.

We’ll highlight typical errors in determining point of view and research organization, the challenge of “show don’t tell,” repeated word tics, and the purpose of development, copyediting, and proofreading, and how to deal with each. You’ll also learn practical tips about working with an agent, critique groups, and creating a supportive community.

Participants will leave encouraged and better prepared, with practical tools and useful resources to feel confident about next steps toward a finished novel.
