It is hard to imagine 1 billion years ago, but less than 4.6! Yet that is what it took to create these Utah national parks.

I think about how His natural wonders have created jobs and careers. Looking at dinosaurs, everyone, from archeologists to scientists to explorers to visitors, is interested in the bones left behind. This created more jobs, books, movies, toys, museums, parks, hotels, etc…

The Lord had plans for us, not to harm but to prosper and give us hope. I came away with a new appreciation of God and His magnificence.
What a great month to recognize again how much God has given us.

May we recognize every day all that God has made for us.

My husband and I visited Tanzania many years ago. One of our first stops was the Ngorongoro Crater, which is called the Noah’s ark of Africa because of the abundance of wildlife there. By a quirk of fate, a party of four which was supposed to be in our tour group never arrived. As a result, we had our private guide and driver, Calvin, the whole time. On our first night there, we arrived at the group camp and had a multi-generational family of ten join us at dinner. However, on the second night, we had the camp all to ourselves.

I just returned from a trip to Utah’s stunning national parks: Bryce, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, and Capitol Reef. I don’t have enough words to describe it!

Why have I never connected the Genesis creation story with the ancient forces of geology and dinosaurs? When I think of creation, I usually picture trees, plants, oceans, stars, the moon, and the sun. But this trip opened my eyes to God’s extraordinary creativity. He made these magnificent places!
